Term Four is always a wonderfully busy time with students completing units of inquiry and year level curriculum expectations. It is also the time for special end of year celebrations and activities. Please read the information below regarding a number of events occurring this term.

Jazz Night – Friday 26 October

StoryTime Fun in the Library – Monday 29 October

StoryTime Fun is for all preschool aged children and their carers. It is held in the Primary Library on the last Monday of each month. Information about our next StoryTime Fun is outlined below:
Who: Pre-Kindy children with an adult
When: Monday 29 October 2018
Time: 8:45am till 9:15am
Where: St John’s Anglican College Library- Alpine Place Campus
Theme: Counting – learning about numbers

 Night of Celebration – Monday 5 November

Event Attendance at this event is compulsory for all students in Years Three to Twelve. Class rolls will be marked.
VenueBrisbane City Hall, Ann Street Brisbane CBD
TimeCommencing at 6.30pm to approximatley 9.00pm. Doors will be open for guests at 6.00pm
DressFormal School Uniform. Hats not required
Performing Students Alpine Singers and Red Fire Choir will be perfoming at this event and wil travel to the venue from school. Performers will be seated in the performance areas during the evening but can be collected from the Gallery on Level One at the conclusion
Non-Performing StudentsAll students on arrival should go to the Gallery on Level One. This can be accessed by the staircase located on the left as you enter the main foyer of Brisbane City Hall. Students will remain here for the duration of the Night of Celebration and be supervised by their class teachrs. Students receiving awards will be marshalled to the stage area by supervising teachers.
Dismissal ArrangementsAt the end of the night we request that parents collect students from their class teacher from the Gallery on Level One, access via the main foyer staircase. Parents need to see the class teacher or Mrs Laboo, if their child is in Alpine Singers, before taking their child home.
Getting There - Public TransportThe Brisbane city hall is centrally located and is close to public transport, within a block of Central Station and Queen Street Bus Station.
Parking King George Square car park is located undergroud between Ann and Adelaide Streets, next to City Hall. Vehicle access is via entry and exit in Roma Street and entry only from Adelaide Street.
Paying for ParkingCoin and credit card can be used at all auto-pay stations. Credit cards can also be used at both Roma Street car exit gates. Automatic pay machines are situated on level A (street level) and level B. The auto-pay stations do not accept Diner Club cards.
Disabled ParkingAccess is located on Level A
