Congratulations

We congratulate Dylan Patterson who recently qualified to compete at the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) Classical Ballet State Scholarships. To qualify Dylan had to complete three consecutive years of Ballet Examinations achieving a result of Highly Commended or higher. Well done Dylan!

Alpine Singers participated in the Queensland Youth Music Awards on Monday 21 May and received a Silver Award for their performance. This is an excellent result given that it was their first public performance this year and the singers had only been working with Mrs Laboo for a very short time. The children were so excited about the results and we congratulate them on their enthusiastic participation.

Chinese Speaking Competition

On the day of the College Carnival a small number of St John’s students participated in the annual Chinese Speaking competition held at QUT. Alex Zwicker, Keira Song and Amber Trieu represented St John’s Primary and both Amber and Keira were awarded Merit Prizes. Several other students prepared for this competition but were unable to participate due to their commitments at the College Carnival. We acknowledge the efforts of all the students who were willing to participate in the Chinese Speaking Competition and congratulate Amber and Keira on their awards.
