Announcing St John’s Foundation New Chairman

The St John’s Anglican College Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of its new interim Chairman Mr Norm Jefferies.

Mr Jefferies has been a Director on the Board since in its formation in 2014 and a parent of the College for the last 14 years.

As Managing Director of locally based IT firm Computer Merchants, Mr Jefferies has been an enormous supporter of both the College and the Foundation offering work place opportunities for St John’s Old Collegians and hosting Foundation business events.

Mr Jefferies looks forward to taking on his position and supporting the strategic priorities of the College through the work of the Foundation Board.

The College would also like to thank former Chairman Mr Jeremy Harris for his many years of leadership of the Foundation Board. Mr Harris supported the College through the Stage 1 Auditorium Appeal and will continue his Directorship on the Foundation Board.

Old Collegians’ Awards Breakfast welcomes Aaron Birkby

Now in its eighth year, the Old Collegians’ Awards Breakfast will once again be celebrating the exceptional achievements of St John’s graduates in many fields of endeavour, in tertiary study, professional life and in the community in which they live. From the earliest graduates in 2000 to the most recent Class of 2017, all of our past students strive to be well-educated, innovative, inspirational and compassionate people of influence.

This year we are delighted to welcome Aaron Birkby as the guest speaker. Aaron is a tech entrepreneur, having successfully built and exited several startups since the age of sixteen. He is the CEO of Startup Catalyst, leading startup and investor missions to Silicon Valley, Europe, Israel and Asia. He is the co-founder of Peak Persona and 3am Founders, delivering programs to help founders achieve their peak mental performance. Aaron also serves on the Board of StartupAUS.

The St John’s Old Collegians’ Breakfast provides an excellent opportunity for our Old Collegians to catch up, network with peers and the wider College community as well as share advice with current students.
