Secondary Sports Day Camps
In preparation for Term One Sport in 2021, St John’s will host a number of Sports Day Camps over the school holidays for the beneficial skill development, team cohesion and organisation of Term One fixtures. The camps will be run on the following dates and students currently in Year 6 to 11 are invited to sign-up and attend.

Each of these camps will be facilitated by accredited coaches and may include skill acquisition, game play, team cohesion and strategies, rules of the sport, video analysis and team selections.
How to Sign-Up:
*Parents of Year 6 students will need to sign up and pay for these camps through My St John’s.
*Students in Years 7 to 11 will need to sign up through Student Café for the relevant camp/s. Parents will then need to approve and pay for these camps through My St John’s.

Football Academy Program
Aim
The Academy aims to cater for both boys and girls. Providing realistic opportunities for students to grow their Football Skills and to achieve academically. The Academy is available to both Primary and Secondary students. The Primary Years program will focus on development of Football Skills. The Secondary Years program provides support in preparation of the TAS Football season.
Entry Requirements
To participate in the Football Academy, Senior and Middle School students will go through a grading process and be allocated into groups based primarily on ability. The structure of a Development, Academy or Excellence Group. The Academy is open to all students in Years 7 to 12.
Cost
The cost for the 2021 program is $225 for new students which includes all coaching, use of quality equipment and training strip.

Hockey Academy Program
The Hockey Academy Program is on offer for female students currently in Years 6 to 11. The program will commence in Week One of Term One 2021 and run throughout the year with two training sessions per week.
Aim
Aligning with the College strategic direction of Enterprise through Social: cultivating an engaged community; Personal learning and success: empowering life-long learners; Wisdom: developing people of good character through their participation in sport. Students learn to play with style and strive for excellence in everything they do on the field. Hockey Academy Program will train twice a week.
Expectations
It is expected that participants commit to a minimum of one training session per week.
Cost
The cost of the 2021 program is $100 per student. The cost will cover the use of specialist coaches and a training shirt.
