Rising Stars

Football
Cody Hunzel (Year 10) has been selected in the 13-16 Years Met West Football team who will compete at the Queensland School Sport Championships at Toowoomba in June. We wish Cody the best of luck with his Football endeavours.
Netball
Emjay Lafoai (Year 7) has been selected in the Met West 10-12 Netball team who will compete at the Queensland School Sport Championships at Bundaberg in June. Congratulations Emjay!

JTAS Results
– The JTAS Rugby team had an exciting game against Canterbury College with both teams scoring five trys, with all players contributing to a good result. Thank you to Mr Brownlow for refereeing the match.
– The second Round of Netball matches saw the Year Four team play against Canterbury (awaiting result). The Year Five team had a 6  – 2 win over Canterbury. The Year Six team lost 2 – 7 to Canterbury and the Junior Open team won 10 – 6 against Redeemer. Well done to all!

Rugby
– Round 3, Home vs JPC, St John’s Secondary Campus, 8am.
Netball – Round 3, Home vs JPC, Court 2. Year Four at 10.00am, Year Five at 9.00am, Year Six at 8.15am and Junior Open at 7.30am.

Primary Athletics Carnival
The Primary Athletics Carnival will be held on Monday 20 May 2019. Students are permitted to wear their HOUSE Shirts on the day.

Congratulations 
– Olivia Wright and Bridie Kennedy are congratulated on being selected into the Southern Scorpions District Girls Football (Soccer) team. Well done girls.

– Poppy Weekes participated in the National Kansai Karate Tournament and won two Silver and one Bronze medals and will be participating at the Australian National Championships later in the year.  A great effort Poppy.

– Molly Nicholls recently competed at the Queensland State Championships in Trampolining. She participated in Synchronised Trampoline, Individual Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline. in her Double Mini Trampoline she won the Silver Medal. She has also qualified for the National competition in Melbourne.

– Sarbani Maitra competed in the Oceania Squash Junior Championship 2019 in Auckland and won the bronze medal. She also competed in Sydney in the Australian Junior Open 2019 and managed to finish fourth. With this success Sarbani is now the leading U11 girls in Australia. She will be competing in Queensland State Titles in June and National Titles in October.

– A great effort from Eamon Byrne as he won the bronze medal in the Met West Cross Country 10 year boys competition. Well done!
