Learning about the World

Our students have recently been involved in a range of fascinating learning experiences connected to their Units of Inquiry. In Year Two the girls and boys explored the inner city area of Brisbane, travelling by bus, train and city cat up the Brisbane River, to investigate different architecture and uses of buildings. They had an amazing time on their adventure and returned to school rather exhausted, but filled with lots of questions that they will explore further in class.

The children in Kindergarten enjoyed a cultural day on Wednesday 23 August, when families brought along information and artefacts associated with their country of origin. The children loved the opportunity to taste different foods and to participate in the arts, crafts and games from other countries.

We thank the many families who participated in this event. Their contributions helped to ensure the success of the cultural day and provided a valuable learning experience for the youngest members of our College community.
