 Scholastic Book Club Information

Flyers were sent home this week and orders should be placed no later than 23 October 2017. Please follow the links on www.scholastic.com.au/LOOP if you wish to place an order.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept any orders through the College. Important Note: When placing an order, the postcode is 4077 (we realise the postcode is incorrect but this is the number that has been allocated to us by Scholastic).

For each order our parents place with Scholastic Book Club, the College will earn bonus points which we can use to obtain resources for the students so we thank you in advance for all your support.

If you would like items put aside for you to collect, please let Mrs Shaw or Primary Reception know and that can be arranged.  If you have any questions, please email Mrs Cheryn Shaw cshaw@sjac.qld.edu.au.

Term 4 STEM Club

Places are still available in Term 4’s STEM Club. If your child has not yet participated in STEM Club, and would like to, please email Mrs Laurie Wilson (lwilson@sjac.qld.edu.au).

STEM Club will run each Thursday afternoon from 3:15pm-4:15pm in the STEM room, from Week 2 until Week 8. Students will be exploring and investigating the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

Operation Christmas Child

There is still time to bring in your items for Operation Christmas Child.

We encourage all our families to be a part of this exciting project, and all your child needs to do is to bring an item(s) to school and give it to their class teacher.  To ensure we include the correct range of gifts in our Christmas boxes we request that you purchase a gift for the same age and gender as your child. We also require shoeboxes covered in colourful Christmas paper. The lid and base need to be covered separately to comply with customs regulations.  Each box requires $9 to cover postage, so if you would like to assist in this area, your donation would be greatly appreciated.
