Term Three Sport Preparation
There has been an outstanding start to training for Term Three sporting activities.  Attendance to these sessions is very important.  These training sessions allow the coaches and players to get to know each other, sharpen fundamental skills and work on team strategies.  Teams are filling up very quickly, Term Three is looking very promising.  Keep training.

BYE Round
This Saturday is a BYE Round for TAS Sport.  This is a good opportunity to rest up and join in on Carnival Festivities from 12noon.

Representative News
Good luck to the following students who represented St John’s at the district Carnival and have been selected into the Southern Scorpions District Team to compete at the regional trials on Friday  1 June.

Metropolitan West Trials
Metropolitan West trials have now commenced for the year and all are being advertised in the Daily Notices.  Students wishing to trial must have previous experience in their chosen sport and on most occasions, be required to trial at the Southern Scorpions District Trials.  Please ensure you see Miss Birch before the nominated date.

If you are attending sports and take some great photos, please supply them to the sports office by Facebook message or USB.  These may be used for Facebook, Ripples, Yearbook or the Sports Dinner.  We love to brag about our sporting achievements so please supply as many images as you can!

Representative News
– Congratulations to Ryan Waalder and Mayanna Foelz who have been selected in the Southern Scorpions District 10 -12 Years Boys and Girls Football Team.
– Congratulations to Maddie Newham who was selected for the Southern Scorpions 10-12 Girls Touch Team.
– Riley Portsmouth who was successful in his recent futsal trial and was selected as a goalkeeper for the under 11s Queensland (City) Futsal team. With Riley’s success he will compete in the National Championships in Sydney in 2019. Well done to all students.

JTAS Cross Country
We wish the 80+ Primary students all the best as they participate in the JTAS Cross Country at St Paul’s School on Friday.  A reminder to all runners who are catching the bus to be at school by 6.30am, and those travelling with their parents to please be there by 8.00am.
